Miss Addie Wood, a lifelong
resident of the community of Mayberry, Virginia, right down the Blue Ridge
Parkway from Meadows of Dan (Virginia Route 58). Miss Addie was the
proprietor of Mayberry Trading Post for many years, and only retired in
her 90's. Her niece Dale Yeatts and Dale's husband Coy Lee now operate the store. See

Don Brady picking a banjo at the
grand opening of Nester's Store at Laurel Fork, Virginia. Don is a member
of the musical Brady family that included Raif, winner of the 2nd Old time
Fiddler's Convention in Galax, Virginia. Many families in the Blue Ridge
played musical instruments and carried them with them everywhere they
went, in hopes of doing a little picking with friends and neighbors.

Dale Yeatts and her husband, Coy
Lee, are the proprietors of Mayberry Trading Post, where they worked for
years with Dale's aunt, Miss Addie Wood. Without Dale and Coy Lee, and
Miss Addie before them, the tiny mountain community of Mayberry would have
long since faded from memory. By continuing to operate Mayberry Trading
Post, the last remaining business in Mayberry, they are preserving the
memories of this once thriving mountain community. To

Coy Lee Yeatts, is the son of Coy
Oliver Yeatts and the husband of Dale Yeatts. Together he and Dale are
continuing to operate Mayberry
Trading Post in Mayberry, Virginia. Mayberry is located between Blue
Ridge Parkway Mileposts 181 and 182 near Meadows of Dan, Virginia and just
south on the Parkway from Mabry Mill. Like his father before him, Coy Lee
is a big bear of a man blessed with a tender heart, a lovable nature and unforgettable
character.
