First Draft Writers Group

The Winter 1995 issue printed three stories by Linda J. Crider, James V. Burchill and Sidney P. Sanford, all members of First Draft Writers Group, Ellijay, Georgia. It has been an honor and privilege to get to know the members of this Group through the years. After much written correspondence, we got to meet each other in person one summer when they were traveling to the Appalachian Writer's Workshop at nearby Radford University and stopped in Wytheville, Virginia.

Besides being great writers, they're great people. They have held book signings in Georgia and hope to do a book signing tour of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia this coming summer. Watch for them in a town near you. If your local bookstore doesn't carry their books, ask that they be ordered for you.

The group has had numerous magazine and newspaper articles published, as well as two books that are a collective effort of James V. Burchill, Linda J. Crider and Peggy Kendrick - Ghosts and Haunts from the Appalachian Foothills and (brand new) The Cold, Cold Hand. Both books are published by Rutledge Hill Press, 211 Seventh Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219. (Paperback, $9.95).
