Fall Festival - Newbern, Virginia

The 15th Annual Fall Festival of Arts and Crafts will be held at Historic Newbern, Virginia on Saturday, October 12 [1985] from 10:00 am til 5:00 pm.

The entire village of Newbern provides spaces for visiting arts and crafts persons from all over Virginia and other localities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided to the public throughout the day.

Special events such as jumping mules, dray haul, and farm machinery pull on the main thoroughfare will be held throughout the day.

On Sunday from noon until 4:30 pm, the Wilderness Road Regional Museum will provide food, a display of potted plants and wreaths; art work and photography. Old books and magazines will be available on the bargain table.

The final bid on the silent auction will be concluded at 4:00 pm. The museum will be open for tours both Saturday and Sunday.

The annual festival is sponsored by Olde Newbern Foundation and the Newbern Community Club. It will be an enjoyable, easygoing day for the entire family. The entire one mile stretch of Newbern is a historic landmark. It's the type of place you'll enjoy a leisurely stroll through the past.
