2/3/01- I am at a brick wall in researching my Hinchee/Hinchy/Hinchey family in southwest, Va. My g-g-g-grandfather was Andrew M. Hinchee and he married Emeline Vass in Lynchburg in 1826. Andrew was born in 1897, and I believe he was born in Botetourt County. I haven't been able to find even the  smallest clue for who his parents were, or who any of his siblings were. He was in Giles and Montgomery counties during census enumeration's, but his first child, John M. Hinchee was born in Botetourt County, and is buried there. I suspect Andrew M. Hinchee's ancestry may be found there. If you can be of any help, I would appreciate it.
