Not To Be Sneezed At

Submitted By Lucille Jarrell

Issue: February, 1986

(Taken From "Gathering Memories" collected by the 1984-85 seventh grade class at Samuel H. Hairston School, Ridgeway, Virginia.)

Sneeze on Monday, sneeze for danger,
Sneeze on Tuesday, kiss a stranger.
Sneeze on Wednesday, get a letter,
Sneeze on Thursday, something better.
Sneeze on Friday, sneeze for sorrow,
Sneeze on Saturday, see a love one tomorrow.
Sneeze on Sunday, your safety you'd better seek,
Or the Devil will get you for the rest of the week.
