Christmas Cookies

By Ruth O. Brown © 1986

Issue: December, 1986

Good smells coming from the kitchen
Christmas time is surely near,
For when Mom starts Christmas baking
We know that joyous time is here.

Kitchen table piled high with cookies
Into pails and tins they go,
Mom will store them in the freezer
We want to eat them, but she says no!

Finally that time we've all awaited
Good old Christmas time is here,
Then we'll open our Christmas cookies
A sight to fill us all with cheer.
